MMG Axis is a 4U rack-mounted AV-over-IP appliance that bridges SDI and NDI®. It converts four bidirectional 3G-SDI channels to and from NDI®, has NDI® Bridge built in for remote production, and is also a full Windows production workstation, so it can run vMix, OBS or TriCaster directly on the device.

What is the latency of MMG Axis?

MMG Axis encodes or decodes in under 30ms, which is low enough for IMAG, confidence monitoring and other time-critical live production work.

How many NDI streams can MMG Axis handle?

The architecture supports processing up to 94 NDI® streams at 1080p60, or fewer streams at higher resolutions such as 4K and 8K.

Can I run vMix, OBS or TriCaster on MMG Axis?

Yes. MMG Axis is a high-spec Windows production workstation with a dedicated GPU, and Windows comes pre-installed with a licence included. You install vMix, OBS Studio, TriCaster or any other production software directly on the device, and your SDI inputs convert to NDI® internally with virtually zero latency.

Does MMG Axis support remote production?

Yes. NDI® Bridge is embedded, so MMG Axis can publish local NDI® sources for a remote facility to receive, or join a bridge to pull remote sources into a local production. Between two MMG Axis units — or any other NDI® Bridge endpoint — you can share bidirectional video, audio and PTZ camera control across the internet.

What connectivity does MMG Axis have?

MMG Axis has four bidirectional 3G-SDI ports with up to 8 channels of audio per SDI, four Mini DisplayPort outputs up to 4K, a 10GbE and a 2.5GbE RJ45 network interface, WiFi 7, and 3.5mm stereo audio in and out. It is also compatible with Dante Virtual Soundcard, though the Dante licence is not included.
