Welcome to the AXIS Documentation. This guide will help you get the most out of your AXIS unit, whether you’re new to NDI or an experienced broadcast professional.

What is AXIS?

AXIS is a professional SDI to NDI converter that bridges traditional broadcast equipment with modern IP-based workflows. It transforms SDI video signals into NDI streams for network distribution, and vice versa, enabling seamless integration between SDI and NDI ecosystems.

The Home page shows a panel with SDI ports 1–4 and REF_IN (timecode input). Click a port to open its Encoder/Decoder settings.

What you can do here

• Home navigates to the home view.
• Open Settings using the cog icon.
• Audio Output Status & Toggle.
• Audio Input Status & Toggle.
• NDI Bridge Status & Toggle.
• Reboot – from the dropdown choose Restart Axis to restart the software or Reboot the PC to powercycle the device.
• Shutdown – powers off the device safely.
