Network Settings

Interface

Choose the Ethernet adapter that the AXIS software should use for control/NDI® (this does not change the adapter used by NDI® Bridge). If no adapter is chosen, AXIS uses your OS’s primary Ethernet adapter.

IP Addressing

  • DHCP – toggle on for dynamic addressing.
  • Static – leave DHCP off and set IP address and Subnet Mask (e.g., 192.168.0.10 with 255.255.255.0).

NDI® Settings

Receive Mode

Select the network protocol used for NDI® IO (e.g., TCP, UDP) from the Receive mode dropdown.

Discovery (Advanced)

If you run NDI® Discovery Servers, set:

  • Discovery server IP(s) – the address(es) of your server(s).
  • Advertised Name – how your AXIS sources appear to discovery.

Tip: If you’re not familiar with NDI® discovery, leave this off to avoid unnecessary complexity.

NDI® Multicast

Multicast lets multiple receivers subscribe to a stream without multiplying bandwidth on the sender. By default NDI® uses unicast (point‑to‑point).

Only enable multicast if you fully understand your network. Misconfiguration can flood the network and cause instability.

  • Enable the Multicast toggle to turn it on.
  • On Netgear Pro AV switches, IGMP Plus simplifies multicast deployments.
