Overview

Plug a USB drive into either USB 3.0 port and MMG D:ONE picks it up straight away. No network is needed for this — the media player works on a completely standalone unit.

Drives

Drives are mounted read-only. Nothing is ever written to them, so you can pull one out and walk away with it at any point without risking the files.

Formats: exFAT, NTFS, FAT32 and ext4.

What it plays

Formats
VideoMP4, MOV, M4V, MKV, WebM, AVI, WMV, MPG, TS, M2TS, FLV, 3GP
ImagesJPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF, TIFF, BMP

Transport: pause, resume and seek.

Video from USB is decoded in software and is supported up to 1080p. A 4K file will still play, but it is downscaled — convert it to 1080p (or a lighter codec) for smooth playback.

Playlists

A playlist can mix video and stills in any order.

OptionWhat it does
LoopStart again from the top when the playlist ends
ShufflePlay in a random order
Per-image durationHow long each still stays on screen

Reorder items by dragging. The playlist advances when an item finishes naturally, so pausing does not skip to the next item.

Playlists are saved to the device and survive a reboot — a unit driving a signage screen will pick straight back up after a power cut.
