Overview

MMG D:ONE keeps a running list of every NDI® source it can see on the network — cameras, encoders, switchers, software like vMix or OBS, and other MMG hardware. It appears in that list for everyone else, too.

The Source tab has three modes:

  • Single NDI — one source, full screen.
  • Quad NDI — four sources at once.
  • Media Player — play from a USB drive.

Pick a source, press Apply, and it goes to the display. Disconnect clears it.

If a source disappears

If a source drops off the network, MMG D:ONE keeps watching for it and reconnects automatically when it comes back under the same name. What the screen shows in the meantime is up to you — see Signal loss.

Single Source

Single NDI puts one source full screen on the HDMI output.

Bandwidth

Each source can run at one of two levels:

SettingUse it when
FullQuality matters — the source is decoded at its native resolution
ProxyThe network is busy, or the screen is a glance-at monitor. A much lighter stream

Decoding

How a source is decoded depends on how it was encoded.

SourceDecodedHandles
NDI®|HX (HEVC)On the dedicated video block, zero-copy to the displayUp to 4K at 60fps
Full-bandwidth NDI® (SpeedHQ)In software1080p, and 4K at 30fps

HEVC sources go straight to the display on a hardware path, leaving a core spare — that is the one to use when you need 4K at 60fps.

SpeedHQ is decoded on the CPU, and is perfectly comfortable at 1080p or at 4K 30fps.

The combination to avoid is SpeedHQ at 4K 60fps — there isn’t the CPU headroom for it, and the interface will warn you. Send that source as NDI®|HX (HEVC) instead and it lands on the hardware decoder.

Quad Multiview

Quad NDI splits the screen into four and shows a different NDI® source in each quadrant.

  • Choose what you hear. Only one quadrant’s audio plays at a time — pick it, or mute them all.
  • Drag to reorder. Rearranging the quadrants does not reconnect the streams.
  • Promote to full screen. Take any quadrant full-screen instantly, then drop back to the quad.
  • Flip and mirror any quadrant independently.

If two quadrants show the same source, it is only received once.

Quad runs its four streams in the lean proxy tier to keep network use low. That makes it ideal for monitoring — for a full-quality picture, promote a quadrant to full screen or use Single Source.
